My Story

Hello! I am Katie Williams! The artist behind Made by Katie. I started as an embroidery business in my college dorm room and has grown in ways that I could have not imagined then!

Although I have been painting for years, in late 2023 I decided to transition over to painting banners and doing small commissions in Knoxville. I began to fall in love with “collaborative” artwork with customers and designing pieces that felt like them. I freehand every single piece that I sell because I just love the process of everything from start to finish. Now, I am over 3 years into MBKT and I am happy to say that I have completed over 300 commissioned pieces throughout college. A milestone I am very proud of!

A little more about me: I just recently graduated college (Go Vols!!) with a degree in Forensic Anthropology and Political Science. I have a passion for intersection of forensics and the practice of law. The center of who I am is my faith! When I paint, I like to spend time with the Jesus and sit in His presence. That is a reason why this space is so important to me! I feel so blessed to have been given this opportunity to be an artist. When I am not painting, I LOVE to read, go on walks, talk to friends, go to new coffee shops, go to the beach, and hang out with my boyfriend (Cannon)!
